Mangarakau swamp, Anatori Beach and Cowin Rd

An evening without any television (the accomodation contains none) and no chocolate/sweets whatsoever (nothing left, the muesli bars had to stay for Sunday) – we slept very well and were awake early. The short pre breakfast walk did start us well into the day :) Bravely, we were following the street to the southwest, until the Anatori River forced us to turn back. The incoming tide made it impossible to cross and the curious looking farmer on the other side of the river was a clear sign to us that our car, even being a Ford, could not pass  this ford. Top: The sandhills were quite a show to run down from.
