Mini Olympics – little gods in action!

After several months of practice class 5&6 finally had the chance to show off their talents. The camp was set up near Christchurch, with kids from Motueka and the Christchurch School as well. The Pentathlon disciplines in short:

Run: Marathon (1,5km.) or mini marathon (400m), Stadion Sprint (100m);
Jump: 3 Standing Jumps, 3 Long jumps;
Wrestling: Within a circle; arms forming a ‘ring’;
Discus: 3 Throws
Javelin: 3 Throws

Essential to the judges was also the grace and beauty of movement, for the kids to really fill the role of an ancient Greek, they wore lovely white dresses with greek ornaments. Awww!
